In communion with nature, I paint Fuschias and dead leaves, I go from the Sahara to the depths of the ocean. Yet, nothing in my work takes me away from semi-precious stones: colors, veins and lights evoke the original source of my painting. "Mystery or mysticism ... my work seems "abstact". Only at first sight. It is in fact open to interpretation through the titles I choose, through the skies, characters or elements I paint. Even better: I bring them to life for you
     Recipes of an artist as well as of a scientist , my oil paintings have the relief and rendering of something new in the world of art with the authenticity of the material, without any addition. 

   Recently, I have been exploring a new material and support, marble. These new works are the result of a technical and artistic experience accumulated and matured for a long time. They are an outcome and an achievement.

  Self-taught independent artist, since his early childhood, he grew up in the arts and more specifically that of painting, his father, "Abdellah Benmansour" himself being a famous painter in Algeria. His work is the result from a long reflection on the different elements of nature to their particular expression on different materiel. The following text, published in the review “Rêvista”, written by Elisabeth Querenet-Olvera, perfectly reflects her career and her work.

• For several years now, Choukry has been expressing his feelings and sensations in his painting, in gouache or in oils, on unconventional supports, such as rocks or wooden furniture.
• A lifelong passion (his father is a painter himself) which has evolved over the course of his personal journey, to achieve a clean and assertive style today: a constant approach to reach  artistic maturity.
• His arrival in Mexico a little over a year ago has obviously influenced his works. We find ourselves facing living, shimmering and joyful canvases, with total coherence in creativity. A lot of serenity in his paintings which take us to an elsewhere which is reminiscent of the irregular line found in the veins of semi-precious stones, with their spider-like and slender aspect.

    He draws his inspiration from the wonders of nature.  By the way he writes:

• When I was a little child in a wonderful world, I loved my excursions in natural gardens, where the voice of the Great Spirit is heard in the song of birds, in the streaming of mighty rivers, and in the pleasant smell of flowers. It is through these places offered by the earth that man can find peace and harmony. A stone, a tree, a leaf, the wind, all these colors ...
People who live close to nature will never be in the dark.
